Who am I?
My name is Katja Hoogers, and after five years of studying the Japanese language and culture, I have chosen to forge a path in the realm of intercultural consultancy and education. It is my belief that with the right knowledge and motivation, anyone can attain a proficiency in intercultural competence.
These past years, I have sought diverse experiences to enrich my understanding of the different cultural aspects. From an immersive study exchange in Japan to aiding expatriates and exchange students within the Netherlands, I have diligently sought to unravel the nuances embedded within various cultural identities.
Another defining part of my personality is that I want to help. It is fulfilling to know that I can help to equip individuals with the tools to chart their own paths with confidence. After all, give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he eats for the rest of his life. Playing a role in this part of personal development is rewarding, and a big part of why I'm here.
